Dragonfli Transforms International Champions Cup Experience
Dragonfli Media Technologies along with their client, the International Champions Cup (ICC), successfully transformed the traditional press conference from a podium and backdrop presentation into an engaging digital media production.
Dragonfli Media produced a digitally-interactive press conference to announce the 2018 tournament schedule. The project included redesigning the press conference script, moving the host venue to one of Miami’s hottest spots (LIV nightclub), improving overall production quality and technically delivering the broadcast live to millions of global fans via the 16 team-Facebook pages in addition to ICC’s Facebook, ESPN, USA Today, Goal.com and Sky Sports News.
The announcement served as the launching pad for ICC’s sixth edition as it readied for its largest tournament ever featuring international superstars playing in 21 cities across three continents.
Two days of community and VIP activities in Los Angeles and Miami branded as House of Soccer was also executed by the Dragonfli Media event management team, complemented the press conference. The activation served as a gateway to unite communities through sports, art, and culture.
While VIP guests and media mingled at world-class receptions, local youth had the opportunity to play in a five-on-five tournament and meet international soccer legends. The Los Angeles event was highlighted by a celebrity soccer match with team captains Odell Beckham Jr. of the New York Giants and Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors, while fans in Miami were treated to a concert from hip-hop sensation 2 Chainz.
Dragonfli Media managed all aspects of the onsite experience including the building of the hospitality venues, soccer fields and bleachers for thousands of spectators. With live streaming capabilities, Dragonfli produced, directed and shot real-time coverage to a professionally-installed jumbotron equipped with a score bug and lower-third graphics for introductions and match updates.
