2018 was full of growth and exciting projects for Dragonfli Media and our clients. We look forward to an even better 2019.

Across the pond in London, Dragonfli Media directed, produced and delivered video content from Facebook’s Communities Summit. The live stream garnered 133,000 views, 1,300 shares, 11,000 likes and 2,000 comments.
For the second consecutive year, Dragonfli Media produced the live feed of the Congressional Baseball Game from Nationals Park in Washington D.C. on Facebook and WTOP. The Democrats, who have now won two in-a-row and nine of the last 10 matchups, took this one, 21-5.
At an exclusive event in San Francisco with the who’s who of the Instagram world, the Facebook-owned company had two exciting announcements:
1. Instagram reached a community of 1 billion
2. The launch of IGTV – a new app for watching long-form, vertical video from your favorite Instagram creators
Dragonfli Media delivered the exciting announcement, produced on none other than Instagram and Facebook.
Dragonfli Media traveled to Trayarch Studios in Santa Monica to live stream the release of the new Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 to Playstation’s Facebook page. Over 265,000 fans tuned in to learn the ins and outs of the new game.
As Mark Zuckerberg addressed the Facebook F8 Developer Conference during an important time for Facebook and Internet security, Dragonfli Media was behind the scenes delivering his keynote speech to an audience of nearly 4 million viewers watching on Facebook Live.
Dragonfli Media was live from New York City with Facebook for the 2018 BookCon/BookExpo, one of the largest publishing conventions in the country. Over four days, our team filmed and delivered more than 40 author interviews to Facebook and Instagram Live. Guests covered a wide range of literary genres with notable names including country singer Martina McBride, Sean Spicer, and ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
In San Diego, Dragonfli Media worked with CBS Sports Network to produce and direct the second annual Battle on the Midway – a college wrestling match between Stanford and Fresno State that took place on the decommissioned aircraft carrier USS Midway.
In one of the more unique settings for a wrestling match, Stanford defeated Fresno State, 22-15.
Onsite at the Electronic Entertainment Expo, commonly known as E3, from the Los Angeles Convention Center, Dragonfli Media worked in tandem with Sony, providing video encoding and closed captioning to live stream their biggest announcements of the year to nearly 70,000 attendees and millions more online.
Ahead of the release of his new mixtape, Street Gossip, up-and-coming rapper Lil Baby put on a free concert in his hometown of Atlanta with some of hip hop’s biggest names.
Dragonfli Media performed the encoding/live feed for Capital Records/Motown, streaming the Lil Baby & Friends Free Fan Concert to YouTube and Twitter.
Events and Partnerships
Dragonfli Media along with our client, the International Champions Cup (ICC), successfully transformed the traditional press conference from a podium and backdrop presentation into an engaging digital media production. Dragonfli turned one of Miami’s hottest nightclubs into a stage for ICC to announce their 2018 season schedule with a record number of teams playing in 21 cities across three continents.
Dragonfli also executed two days of VIP and community activities in Los Angeles and Miami branded as House of Soccer. The activation served as a gateway to unite communities through sports, art and culture with global superstars including Odell Beckham Jr., Draymond Green and 2 Chainz.
Dragonfli Media’s partnership with Toyota includes managing the company’s sponsorship activations throughout the Mountain West. Our team has represented Toyota with interactive contests alongside creative branding at events such as Utah Jazz and Real Salt Lake games, concerts at Usana Amphitheater and Red Butte Garden, as well as the U.S. Olympic Trials, Reno Rib Cook-Off and Utah Golf Championships.
The 36th annual Burton U.S. Snowboarding Championships in Vail went off without a hitch thanks to Dragonfli Media’s event operations and branding capabilities. Premier athletes in the sport came together for a week of halfpipe and slopestyle competition and plenty of good times in between including a Damien Marley concert for 64,000 fans who attended throughout the weekend.
Dragonfli Media teamed up with Toyota for Night in the Country – northern Nevada’s largest country music festival. Some of country music’s biggest stars performed for 12,000 fans over four days.
Our team managed all of the Toyota onsite branding and activations in addition to providing hospitality and concierge services for dealership owners. The main activation featured a re-charge station, misting station, photo booth and lounge where guests could relax and watch a live video feed of the concert.
Action sport’s best athletes soared at the Nitro World Games competing in rallycross and freestyle motocross at the Utah Motorsports Campus. Dragonfli Media managed all operations while overseeing venue and competition management.
Lexus LaceUp Running Series, Southern California’s premier running series owned and operated by Dragonfli Media, celebrated five years of happy runners. A record number of over 8,700 runners enjoyed four beautiful locations in Orange County, Ventura, Palos Verdes and Riverside. Offering a Marathon, Marathon Relay, Half Marathon, 10K, 5K and Kids Run, LaceUp has a location and distance for every type of runner.
Major League Rugby kicked off their inaugural season in 2018 with seven teams competing across the country. With the league office located in Salt Lake City, Dragonfli Media managed sponsorship sales, directed and produced live match coverage, led marketing and public relations efforts and negotiated media deals with CBS Sports Network, ESPN and AT&T SportNet – a total distribution package of 31 games.
The Seattle Seawolves were crowned MLR champions, capturing the first-ever MLR Championship Shield.
Dragonfli Media teamed up with REI for their Outessa retreats – an outdoor weekend of adventure for women. Our team traveled to Squaw Valley and Waterville Valley Resort in New Hampshire to provide event production ranging from venue buildout to working hand-in-hand with the resort to craft a memorable weekend for upwards of 1,000 ladies.
Owned and operated by Dragonfli Media, the Enduro Cup made four stops across the Southwest and hosted nearly 1,000 riders for fun and challenging enduro style mountain biking. With all ability levels from professionals and amateurs to veterans and juniors, the Enduro Cup provides a great atmosphere and community of riders in Moab, UT, Angel Fire, NM, Powderhorn Resort, CO and Park City, UT.
As daring pilots were flying high, Dragonfli Media had two feet on the ground at Red Bull Air Race stops at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Dallas Motor Speedway. Our team managed all onsite branding and site coordination for our great partner.
