It was another busy summer and fall for the Dragonfli team. Across the western US, we continued activating with Toyota and Lexus dealers, while closer to home, we were part of the team to unveil the official word that Salt Lake would host the 2034 Olympic Games. Silver Kings Hard Enduro – Toyota
While activating for Toyota at The Silver Kings Hard Enduro event, held from June 27th to June 29th, we managed multiple footprints and two branded arches throughout the event space. Our team successfully oversaw three distinct activation points, ensuring maximum visibility and engagement throughout the event.
In addition to the activations, we provided on-course signage consisting of six banners, 12 wind flags and many a-frame signs. Our operations manager coordinated the staging and display of all vehicles provided by Parker Toyota and was responsible for setting up and manning the two Toyota arches for the competition. We look forward to returning in 2025 and continuing to build on this year’s success!
Night in the Country
As country music stars hit the stage and fans flocked back to the Nevada desert for the legendary Night in the Country festival, our work for Toyota, the event’s presenting sponsor, continued to be on full display. We’ve been a part of Night in the Country since 2016, and our work continues to iterate to be the best possible activation for Toyota.
We produced and managed Toyota’s branded elements, including the VIP recharge lounge featuring a misting station, photo booth and lead generation spin-to-win prize wheel. Additionally, we installed and oversaw the Dealer Camp, highlighted by 12 RVs, five display vehicles, 10,000 square feet of astroturf, two pools, a bar, and the annual favorite — two trucks forklifted onto shipping containers. Our design of the main stage, video walls and branded banners at each entrance ensured the Toyota brand did not go unnoticed throughout the festival weekend.
Olympic Announcement
At 3 AM on July 24, Salt Lake got the news that it would officially host the 2034 Winter Olympics. We were part of the magic at Washington Square Park in downtown Salt Lake, where we worked with KSL and the City to lay out the event footprint, build out the staging, design sound and lighting, and provide LED screens to stream the announcement from Paris to a crowd of thousands. It was a spectacle like no other, and Salt Lake is thrilled that the Games will be back in ten short years!
Woodward x Skullcandy:
Earlier this year, Park City-based Woodward announced a multi-year partnership with Skullcandy, Woodward’s Official Lifestyle Audio Partner. With the new partnership came a facelift for many of Woodward’s branded elements across their PA, CA and Park City locations. We were thrilled to lend a hand, working to design, build and install the branded pieces to showcase this new and exciting partnership for the years to come.
Team Ignition Activations – Nitrocross
When Team Ignition needed help bringing their vision to life at Nitrocross stops across the US, we were excited to step in and execute. Our work with motorsports spans over a decade, so we were uniquely positioned to excel with their new brand activation. We designed and installed a custom truss structure to house the Team Ignition footprint, which included an AI-powered experience that placed users in a driver’s suit, premium giveaways, and a life-sized spin-to-win wheel.
Lexus Activations – Boise
Expanding our work with the Peterson Auto Group, we began working with Peterson Lexus out of Boise in 2022. We brought attention to the Lexus brand by activating at events like Boise State Football Games throughout the summer and fall with our digital prize wheel and display vehicles courtesy of Peterson Lexus.
Pretty Bird
Salt Lake-based hot chicken restaurant Pretty Bird is not your average counter service establishment. With an award-winning chef at the helm and a focus on high quality ingredients, there was a story that needed to be told. We joined forces to optimize their brand story and messaging and work to develop creative displays. We designed and oversaw installation of new branding throughout their Sugarhouse location, which showcased Viet Pham’s background as well as their attention to detail. Online, we ran their first paid social campaign to celebrate the launch of their new chicken wing menu item.
Park City Film
Continuing our relationship with Park City Film, we’ve been on-hand to manage events like the Pendry Plaza Fall Film Festival at Canyons Village, where we provided event operations, our LED screen, and technical support for the event’s four films over two weekends. Behind the scenes, we continue to run paid social ads for the non-profit to bring more movie-goers to the Santy in Park City.
Toyota Activations – Utah, New Mexico, Nevada & Idaho
From concert series in Idaho to professional soccer games in Salt Lake and family-focused events across the West, we’ve been activating for Toyota at hundreds of events this year. We’re proud to work with Utah Toyota Dealers locally as well as Boise, Albuquerque and Las Vegas-based dealers to increase brand awareness at many different events.
In New Mexico, we’ve partnered with the University of New Mexico Lobos basketball games at the Pit. We also showcased vehicles at six Isotopes baseball home games, strategically placing two vehicles at the main entrances to create a strong impression. Our presence at United soccer games included vehicle displays, tailgate activations, and simultaneous activations inside the venue. The final event of our calendar year was Boo at the Zoo, where we captured valuable leads while interacting with the community during this family event.
Around Idaho, we’ve represented Peterson Toyota at the Albertsons Boise Open, a four-day golf event held at Hillcrest Country Club in Boise, Idaho. This prestigious event gave us a fantastic opportunity to showcase Toyota and connect with the local community. We also brought Toyota activations to events like Art in the Park, the Portneuf Amphitheater Concert Series, and the Sandpoint Festival.
In Nevada, we activated for Nevada Toyota Dealers at Vegas Knights Games, including their home opener and FanFest. The show-stopping Vegas Knights custom Tundra anchored the display, with our tent alongside it. Attendees could pose in our photobooth with Toyota-branded props, receiving a printed picture as a take home item.
Utah Toyota Dealers are our longest-standing relationship with Toyota, and this summer and fall has only upped the ante. In 2024 alone, we’ve activated for 115 days across 15 event series. Our dedicated team of brand ambassadors and strong relationships with the events and dealers make this all possible.
